Here at Adored we LOVE diffusing and find people don’t like it because they are unsure how to do it, think it’s harmful, or unsure why you aren’t getting desired results.
Here are a few diffuser tips and tricks to make diffusing a breeze:
Make sure you’re using enough gel in your style before diffusing. If you’re lacking gel, once the diffuser starts your hair will start to frizz. If you’re unsure in the amount of gel always add more. Each section should feel slimy!
The heat and speed of you’re dryer is always a debate. The Ouidad gels add a layer of heat protection to your hair to protect from diffusing heat. Therefore we dry on high heat 90% of the time to get things dry! As far as dryer speed, you just don’t want you hair to be flying out of the diffuser. As long as your curls aren’t flying around you can use as high of speed as necessary.
You do not have to get your hair 100% dry when diffusing. We recommend diffusing at least for 5-15 minutes to get the gel cast to start forming.
